Occasionally, equipment and armor in Florensia will drop with seals on them. These seals offer enhanced statistics for both the item and your character. A Sealed Item can have between one and five seals on it. Items with more seals drop less frequently. Sealed Items are identifiable by a small padlock icon in your inventory. The benefits of Sealed Items can only be used if the seals are dissolved. A local Bartender will be able to help you dissolve a seal. You will need the appropriate fish for your item and some Gelt to pay for the service.

Throughout history, equipment and weapons in Florensia have only been improved by local smiths with the aid of years of research and practice. All of that changed with the discovery of some rather peculiar items imbued with powers beyond any known smith's ability. The powers within these items were protected by magical seals. Wanting to harness the power, The Conference of 11, a secret society of ancient magicians, experimented and found a way to dissolve the seals. Much of their knowledge is lost now, but it is said that heirs of these ancient magicians could possibly break these seals today.

[edit] Sealed Items
Sealed Items can be obtained from monster drops or purchased from other players. If you sell them in a personal shop, the seals will also be shown on the window.

Dissolution Pearls can be obtained by Fishing (see: Fishing) or purchased from other players. There are five grades of Pearls, Grade 5 being the lowest and Grade 1 being the highest.

Metal keys which increase the dissolving success rate are planned Item Shop additions:
- Item levels 1~20: Copper Key
- Item levels 21~40: Iron Key
- Item levels 41~60: Silver Key
- Item levels 61~80: Gold Key
- Item levels 81~100: Jewelry Key
[edit] Breaking the Seal
[edit] The Bartender
Bartenders have a chat option called SealBreak. Select it to open the SealBreak interface. Seal breaking works similarly to item upgrading. Drag an item to the center box or right-click it in your inventory to select it. The outer boxes are for the help items. The bottom section of the interface will display which type of Dissolution Pearls (between one and three types) and how many of each is needed to dissolve the seal. It will also display a price for the service. Note: Dissolution Pearls only need to be present in your inventory and not inserted into the SealBreak window. If all is well, cross your fingers and press SealBreak.

One of the following will happen after attempting to dissolve a seal:
- Dissolving fails, seal is lost
- Dissolving succeeds, seal bonuses are revealed.

- How can I add more seals?
- You can't. Seals are determined before an item drops.
- If I have two seals on an item, do I need twice as many pearls to dissolve both seals?
- No, all seals will be dissolved at the same time. You only need to bring the pearl once.
- Does that mean all seals will either fail or succeed alike?
- No, each seal has it's own chance to fail or succeed independent of the other seals.
