[edit] Leveling up

By finishing battles and completing quests you get experience, once you have an experience value of 100%, you are able to level up. When you level up, your HP and MP increase and you get a SP and an AP for your character. Whenever you level up, your marine skills also increase. For every skill you will need a certain level, once you reached it you can buy the skill book at the master of your class in town to acquire it.

[edit] Awarding SP

When you leveling up, you earn 1 SkillPoint, and can spend it to Improve or Learn Skill. To improve skill, before you must have the required level and learned the skill before with a book which you can buy from your master (job master).

[edit] Awarding AP

You can use your AP (Ability Points) to increase your abilities. After you level up you press the “C” button to check the status information. On the side of each ability you can click a button to spend an AP on it which will increase it’s level. Because you cannot undo the awarding of the AP, you’d better think well before awarding them. Each level you get 3 AP, these can be invest on:

Strength (STR): effective on the physical attack power. Increases damage of swords and guns. Intelligence (INT): effective on magical attack power and magic hitrate. Increases damage of cariads. Dexterity (DEX): effective on the hit rate of your attacks and evasion rate of your character. Wisdom (WIS): increase the maximum MP and MP regeneration. Constution (CON): increase the maximum HP and HP regeneration. Will (VOL): effective on the critical rate. Luck (LUC): effective on everything on game.

[edit] Equipments

When you finish battles and complete quests you get money (Gelt), which you can use to purchase equipment like clothing, ship parts, and weapons. These can sometimes increase your abilities as well, if you have them equipped. More important than equipment are directories. Directories allow you to spend points in new abilities and can be purchased with gelt (price corresponding to level of ability). You can only use a directory, similar to a spell book or tome, if you have ability points to spend. Thus, you should check your class master in Roxbury of new directories before purchasing new equipment, weapons, and or ship parts.

[edit] Victory and defeat of the PvP

Victory: When a player kills his enemy he wins. Defeat: When the player’s own HP reaches 0 he has lost. If you leave the dual area and don’t re-enter withing 5 seconds you have lost as well.

[edit] Party versus Party (PTvPT)

The party leader selects the leader of the enemy party by clicking the right mouse button. The leader then selects “Duel application”, with a left mouse click. Once every party member has accepted, the duel starts.

[edit] Victory and defeat of the PTvPT

Victory: If everyone in the enemy’s party is killed your party wins. Defeat: When everyone of your party is killed, you lose.

[edit] STEP 01. Equipping items.

When the player pushes the “I” key, the inventory window will pop up. When the player wants to equip an item he/she clicks the item with the right mouse button. This will also change the appearance of the character. You can also equip up to three weapons. Each weapon slot has another corresponding slot for a shield or ammunition. You can cycle through these weapon sets by pressing R or change to a more specific slot by pressing F1, F2, or F3. This is useful espcially for explorers and nobles who will start combat from afar with a ranged weapon and switch to a melee weapon when the enemy closes in.

[edit] STEP 02. How to target a monster.

When the player moves his cursor over the monster, the name of it will show above the monster's head. When the players then clicks with the left mouse button, he will have targeted the monster. A little screen will then appear, at the top middle of the screen, showing the name, image, HP etc. of the monster (see picture).

[edit] STEP 03. How to check the monster’s level.

When the player looks at the screen of the monster, it can see it’s level (as shown on the picture). To see which monster the player can attack best, he compares it’s own level with the monster’s level. But a player might still be able to kill higher level monsters, depending on his strength (STR). Killing all monsters gives exp, but at higher levels you requires more exp to level up. Thus, killing higher level monsters will reward a higher percentage of exp.

[edit] STEP 04. How to attack.

When the target is allowed to attack, the player can attack with these 3 steps: The player clicks the monster with his/her left mouse button. He/she pushes the space bar. The player can click an attack from his attack slots to do extra damage, or he clicks the numeric key belonging to it. This third step is an option.

[edit] Physical attack

The speed and range of attack differ a lot, depending on which weapon the player uses. For example, when he/she uses a one handed sword, the attack range will be very short, but the attack speed will be fast. Another example, when he/she uses a long gun the attack range will be very high, but the attack speed very slow. Anyways, the player will have to equip the kind of weapons that goes with his character, so choose well.

[edit] Skill/magical attack

The player can attack somewhat quicker by using the numeric keys for the magical/skill atacks. This is very handy when the player uses magical/skill attacks because they all have cool down time. But if you will have to re-click the skill as well it might take somewhat longer.

[edit] What happens when the monster is defeated?

When the monster is killed, the player will gain experience points (exp). The higher the level of the monster, the more exp the player gets, if the player reaches 100% exp it will level up. The player can also gain items from the monster, like money (Gelt, the in-game currency), these also depend on the type of monster.

[edit] What happens when the monster hits back?

When the player gets hit by the monster, his HP and MP will decrease, after the attack the player can regenerate his/her HP and MP by sitting down (standard hotkey: “Z”[qwerty] or "W"[azerty]) He/she can also use a recovery item, for instance a potion or maybe use magical recovery skills to regenerate. But as soon as the player continues moving, he will not automatically regenerate anymore, simply because he isn’t sitting down anymore.

[edit] What happens when the player dies?

When the HP of the player becomes 0, said player dies. After the player dies, he/she may chose to revive at the saved location (this can be automatic and nearby) or at the nearby town. For instance, dying in Weed Ridge will send you back to Roxbury should you chose to revive at the nearest town. Starting at higher levels the player will lose exp upon death. At even higher levels it is possible to lose up to 30%. You can prevent this loss with a potion.
